RIFLA Teacher of the Year
Award 2006
Each year, the Rhode Island Foreign Language
Association seeks to identify an outstanding educator from among its membership
and to honor him/her as the RIFLA
TEACHER OF THE YEAR.
Nominated by his/her peers, this teacher is
selected in recognition of exceptional achievements and contributions to our
profession through demonstrated excellence in teaching, enthusiastic advocacy
of foreign-language learning, a vigorous sense of collegiality, and concerns
for self-betterment through on-going scholarly pursuits and other appropriate
activities.
All members of RIFLA are eligible for this
award. The Teacher of the Year will be
honored at the May Dinner Meeting and presented with a plaque and an award of
$300. A teacher may be nominated more
than once.
All members of RIFLA are invited to submit
nominations. A brief statement of
justification for the nomination is requested.
