Attention all junior high and middle school world language teachers…
RIFLA is continuing a special award for your students. For the fifth year we are offering a poster contest with a money prize of $50.00. What a perfect way to motivate your students and decorate your schools for foreign language week.
Requirements: The theme for this year’s contest is “Languages: Bridges to Communication”
Entries must be completed on 11” x 14” paper. And may be done in crayon, pen and ink, watercolors, pastels, or magic marker. No glued additions. The captions should be in both English and the target language. Student’s name, grade, school, and teacher must be listed on the back.
Entries will be limited to one per teacher. Teachers are asked to select the best poster to be judged on the applicability to the theme, creativity, and effort.
Deadline: Send the posters, postmarked by March 15, 2007, to Jeanne B. Riley, Park View Middle School, 25 Park View Blvd., Cranston, RI 02910.
The winner and the school will be notified in April and the $50.00 prize money will be mailed.
