Novice Teacher Award

Northeast Conference March 30 – April 2, New York

 

 

In an effort to encourage young teachers to become involved in professional development organizations and to promote current initiatives in the teaching of foreign languages, the RIFLA Board again is offering the NEC Novice Teacher Award.  A $200 stipend will be given to defray expenses to attend the conference.  To be eligible for this award, applicants must be:  a) novice teachers with three years or less experience,  b) members of RIFLA and c) full time foreign language teachers.  The recipient will be expected to submit a brief report of the conference and all receipts for expenses.  The report may be published in the RIFLA Gazette.  The stipend will be sent to the recipient upon receipt of these items.

 

Applications must include:  1) letter of recommendation from the department chair or immediate supervisor, 2) a statement explaining why the applicant wishes to attend the Northeast Conference and 3) the application below.  All applications must be sent by February 24, 2007 to:  Eleanor Morisseau, 40 Fairway Drive,  Narragansett, RI  02882
